On the way to our date night, Treens and I did a little bit of location scouting around our soon-to-be new home town of Maleny on the Sunshine Coast. We came across this beauty and spent a few moments clicking away on our cameras.
Ever since I was a young whipper-snapper I’ve always felt like I needed to ‘keep’ a beautiful landscape with me somehow. I just wanted to stay and soak it in for as long as it would allow me to. Whether it was a beautiful sunset, an astronomical event or just a perfect rain forest scene, I just didn’t want to turn away.
So when I got a camera of my own, I was able to make a copy of the scene to look at later. I admit that the photos I used to take of landscapes didn’t look or feel much like they did in real life but now after lots of practice and much study of professional photography techniques, I’m now happy with my snap shots of beautiful landscape scenes.
This tree is a great example of that. When I look at this photo, it looks exactly like it did that night when I saw it with my own eyes. All I need now is a beautiful bride and groom to be standing under it and enjoying a moment of bliss together. Love it!
