These two are about to be featured in our “Real Weddings” section in the upcoming 2015 magazine Wedding Guide Sunshine Coast. Alan & Kara were married overlooking the amazing beach at Caloundra. They ended up choosing the most beautiful day! We had gorgeous sunshine and once the sun began to set, we had the most incredible sunset we had ever seen! Seriously, check it out below! Treens is a big sunset-lover and this is now her number 1! Alan & Kara designed a beautiful reception at their home in the Glass House Mountains. It was like a dream.
Their special day started with Treens heading to the girls while I went to the boys to document their morning. It was all laughs but not very much getting ready (Note to brides: This is very common for boys. They muck around and laugh for an hour then get ready in 10 minutes). Loads of fun and very opposite to what’s happening over at the girls place.
This is something that Treens and I really find important to capture the look on the groom’s face as his bride walks towards him. It’s such a precious moment and we love seeing the emotion on both their faces. It’s also important that they can both look back at photos from the day and see each other’s reactions.
The lovely girls.
Kara’s daddy married them. Isn’t that just so special!

We’ve never seen a reception quite like this one. What an amazing job Kara and Alan. It had such a great celebration vibe!
