We first met this beautiful couple and their three boys on their engagement/family shoot at Point Cartwright. They are blueberry farmers and travelled quite a way to the coast for a relaxed beach shoot (and some rock pool exploring :). It was so much fun to see them together as a family and the boys were an absolute delight!
Fast-forward to this past Saturday and we got to witness (and photograph) the beautiful wedding of Brendan and Monique!
Kirk and I travelled up to Susan River Homestead (10 minutes south of Hervey Bay) for their wedding and were really looking forward to meeting Brendan and Monique’s extended family and friends and also to see what the venue had in store!
Monique’s love of horses were a feature of the photos as she got up on Bailey the horse while wearing her wedding dress. When we saw the horse with no saddle we thought that Monique only wanted to hold the reigns and lead the horse from the ground. But as soon as we got to the place where we had chosen for the photos to be, she slipped off her shoes and jumped onto the horse bare-back (I think that’s the term horsey people use …)
We had to convince her to get off in the end, she could have stayed up there all day! As you can see by her expression in the images below, she was loving every moment! We were too !
That bride, that veil, that sunset and that backdrop!!!
Then we were off into the cars for a drive through a few paddocks to another beautiful place for more photos and fun. The light was playing beautifully for this entire shoot! It was such a great day 🙂
