Kye and Megan met many years ago in school! They are true high school sweethearts and their Flaxton Gardens summer wedding was perfect to match.
We first heard from Megan and Kye when Megan’s sister Mel (who happens to work at Flaxton Gardens AND who was also a bridesmaid!) suggested us as a good fit for shooting their wedding. Thanks Mel 😉 We’re so glad we got to attend such a beautiful day and witness these two get married before their family and friends.
After a really fun and relaxed engagement shoot somewhere in the hills of Maleny, we knew that Kye and Megan’s big day was going to be something awesome.
We arrived at Flaxton Gardens and were both amazed at the result of some very hard work from Megan’s mother and family to produce something so spectacular! The balloons were SO GOOD! Even though they didn’t always behave when being blown up with helium. Imagine massive balloon filled with massive gold glitter popping all over the getting ready scene. Caused lots of laughter!! They were well worth the extra effort!
The reception inside was also phenomenal. More balloons and golden sparkles inside them. Glittery hanging heart strings AND THAT ICE-CREAM BUFFET TABLE!! WOW! #BestIdeaEver!
After the ceremony and family photos were over, we took the bridal party to two very special locations and had a bunch of laughs along the way. Not to mention some pretty classic and romantic photos. When we returned to Flaxton, the bridal party walked into such an amazing setting and continued their celebrations into the night.
We feel so honoured to be a part of the beginning of something so special.
